Serg Trinca, Vice President – RhinoKore Composite Solutions , Armstrong BC, presents Jillian Penney, Children & Youth Coordinator- Salvation Army, Vernon with a cheque destined to support 7 local families with much needed food and gifts this Christmas season, as well as a multitude of board games for the annual Toy Drive.
According to Stefan Reid, Executive Director, the Vernon Salvation Army has made some changes to their Christmas hampers this year. In the past, they distributed actual food hampers and this year they will be using gift cards from Save-On-Foods.
“The value of our hampers will not change,” emphasized Reid. With this new approach, we are able to provide the dignity for people to shop at either of the two Vernon, Save-On-Foods locations, and be able to choose their own food for their Christmas meal.”
RhinoKore would like to express their appreciation for the work the Salvation Army is doing to help bring a measure of comfort and joy this Christmas to families in our community. “As a company, we’re happy to have this opportunity to give back to our community,” stated Trinca.
